Our tour guide and driver will come in time and pick you up at your hotel in Hoi An at 7:30am and discuss the road trip with you. With a private transfer, timing and itinerary is flexible for your needs. Danang is located just before the southern end of the Hai Van Pass (part of the coastal side of the Annamite Mountain Range).
As you leave Hoi An and drive north to Danang, pass by Eastern beach where the American forces relaxed during the Vietnam War. Your guide can point this location out to you. Begin your ride up and over the Hai Van pass (photo stop opportunity), have some time to take a wander, your own time if you prefer and admire the views. When you are ready let your guide know and deading north along the border of Bach Ma National Park and down in to the valley and coastal plains.
You will reach the historical city of Hue, the former capital during the Nguyen Dynasty by lunch time.
In the afternoon, your guide will help to bring to life the history and modern day life surrounding the Perfume River. You will visit the historical royal tomb of King Tu Duc, and of course the important Imperial Citadel (area of 52 km2), a must-see attraction for Vietnam. The Imperial City of Hue was actually a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient city of Hue which was a capital of the Nguyen Dynasty for 143 years (from 1802 until 1945).
For an hour you will also have opportunity walk and discover old Imperial City gates, royal palaces, Purple Forbidden City, Outer Court, Temples and places of worship to give you another view of this much loved city.
