This cycling trip is best way to learn and discovery the hidden culture of the local community in the central Viet Nam. Our ride through the highest peak in the central, exploring the local village by touching the childen waving arm along the way then crossing the bussiest fishing market along the way before heading to the Kong skull island Phong Nha where the famous KONG'S movie was filmed in Viet Nam.

Day 1: Cycling Hoi An to Hue
8:00 leave Hoi An, and cycle the coast road along the Estern beach, stopping for drinks by the beach before heading up and over Hai Van pass praised by BBC’s Top Gear as the most beautiful coastal mountain road in the world. We avoid the traffic on High Way 1 and take the scenic countryside lane and enjoy some of the most impressive landscapes in Vietnam. We stop at Lang Co beach for swim, drink and picnic lunch. After lunch we continue along the coast through small fishing villages before arriving the historic capital of Hue.

Day 2: Hue Day Ride
Hue is one of Vietnam's most beautiful and historic cities. The city centre and countryside are an historic showcase of culture and architecture. Our biking today takes us to many the important historic sites of the city – including the Tomb of Tu Duc Eperor, Thanh Toan bridge and the remnants of the stunning Citadel. The ride today includes a bit of up and down through the city and countryside. Afternoon we’ll take a gentle ascent of Vong Canh Hill rewards us with spectacular views before returning to Hué by boat on the Perfume River, visiting the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, home to the oldest monastery in the city, whose 21m high tower has become something of a symbol for Hue.

Day 3: Cycle the DMZ and Transfer to Phong Nha
We hop in the van and transfer out of the city to the countryside. Near Tam Giang lagoon we set up the bikes and head off to explore this area. We ride the flat countryside road along the bank of the most beautiful lagoon of Vietnam. Enjoy beautiful landscape, small charming villages, vast sandy dune dotted by willow trees. Mid-morning in the day we will hop back in the van for the drive to the historic DMZ and Vinh Moc tunnels. You will walk cross the Ben Hai River on Hien Luong Bridge that used to demarcate the division between North and South Vietnam (1954-1975), and take a fascinating tour of the hostorical Vinh Moc Tunnels. Have lunch at a local restaurant and drive along highway 1A to Dong Hoi. Later in the day we will cycle the Ho Chi Minh trail to Phong Nha. Enjoy the rolling hills and the impressive sight of karsts, the small abrupt mountains. Tonight we stay at the remote farm stay. There’s time for a cold beer or a glass of wine, and enough light to capture what will be the first of many memorable photographs of this region.

Day 4: Cycling Phong Nha National Park & Region
After breakfast this morning we’ll head out for an exploratory ride up and through the Phong Nha valley. Our route takes us along the old Ho Chi Minh trail. There are a couple of steep climbs through the Phong Nha National Park, but the support van is always ready to assist just in case. Following a snack and rest stop we descend down to the town of Phong Nha for lunch. We continue to wind through the beautiful valley, taking a local ferry to cross the river and make it back to Chay Lap by late afternoon.

Day 5: Phong Nha Cave & Kayaking 4,5km
Today is about cave exploring. While on your tour, your guide will discuss cave options and make recommendations based on your physical ability and interest. Our preferred full day cave exploration requires amazing Kayaking tour that will take participants 4.5 kilometers deep inside the cave. Also, depend on weather conditions and your preferrence.

Day 6: Dong Hoi departure
Breakfast at our farmstay is followed by a transfer to the airport or train depot in Dong Hoi. From the Dong Hoi here you can fly north to Hanoi, by train to Hanoi and Da Nang is also possible.
